Can I come inside the nursery?
For the safety and wellbeing of our children, entry into the nursery is strictly by appointment and invitation only. We understand that parents/carers want to see their children interacting and engaging in the nursery environment but our prime commitment is to protecting the safety and welfare of the children in our care. Unrestricted access to the nursery would seriously compromise the quality of care we can provide. We frequently offer parents and carers the opportunity to attend Stay and Play sessions as well as family engagement events and Open Days. Please check our calendar for upcoming events. Children's online learning journals provide a great window into their life at the nursery and a great way for you to get involved too. If parents, new or existing, wish to view the nursery, we would be happy to make an appointment for you.

Can I arrange extra sessions?
We understand that sometimes life throws you a curveball and you may find yourself needing a one-off additional sessions(s). Whereas it is not strictly our policy to allow additional one-off sessions, we will always do our very best to accommodate your needs. Whether or not we can honour you request largely depends upon our numbers and ensuring we continue to provide outstanding care for all our children. We may not be able to give you a definitive answer until nearer the day. If you are intending to make a formal and permanent change to your sessions, we require a month's written notice.
What sort of clothing do I need to provide for my child?
We ask that all children are provided with a pair of slippers, a set of spare clothes, a warm coat, hat, gloves and a scarf when appropriate and a pair of wellies. In the summer months we ask that you provide us with a summer hat for your child that offers suitable protection from the sun. We provide children with our own puddle suits and fleece-lined waterproofs for Outdoor and Woodland learning.
My child is unwell, can they still come to nursery?
We understand that all children experience a degree of ill health at some point. Coughs, colds and runny noses while unpleasant and often persistent are part of a normal and paradoxically healthy childhood. As such, as long as you feel your child is able to cope with the routine of the nursery day then there is no need to keep them away; the wheels of life can't stop turning for every sniffle and sneeze. There are however, occasions when it is necessary and advisable for your child to remain at home. Such instances include sickness and illnesses that may affect your child's ability to cope with the nursery day. For more information, please refer to 4a of our Policies and Procedures relating to sickness and illness.
Will you be able to give my child medication?
f your child is unwell or becomes unwell and requires medication, we can administer medicine however, we follow strict guidelines. Please refer to 5 of our Policies and Procedures relating to medication.
